Pay-Per-Click, Does It Work?

Welcome Top Guns!

Plans for future posts will cover various aspects of online business
including topics such as these not offered in specific order:

1) recruiting at top levels
2) building a downline you can live with
3) sharing the knowlege
4) upgrading skillsets of those on your team
5) generating multiple income streams - everyone wins
6) generating your own targeted, qualified leads
3) general business law
4) what it takes to make a go of it online
5) what to avoid
6) what to incorporate
7) how to make a campaign seamless so that people can easily follow you
8) form your own newsletter
9) include many additional freebies!

Without overwhelming you, let's talk about things over time that top campaigns include (but may not necessarily share). The worse thing you can do is put yourself online while possessing a mess of a profile you see at many of the social sites...where images are unrelated to your messages or you have a variety of articles that don't relate to one another.

Now...I will admit, once you form a few blogs, they require continual change. Some of my blogs are being overhauled, but my main point is ... if you're going to put the numbers in your favor, you need a few things:

1) teleconferencing -- mastery of communication -- talking about what you're going to say to people to attract them further into your messages...specifically using direct marketing techniques that work.

2) mastery of the written word -- no kidding -- you've got to be able to convey information people want

3) use of the Internet -- consider harnessing this tool -- don't rule it out because "you don't have the time...or worse, you're too old to learn". HINT: Tap into the know-how of your kids, if you have them living at home with you. My 15-year old son showed me how to screenshot capture important stuff for my developing superaffiliate site. It meant hitting the function key on my computer ...then using "Insert" key.

Did you know that when you write an article and form a post (or publish an article in a directory), you're up in front of millions instantly? Yup. It's fingertip publishing...both good and not so good.  But any action taken is far more superior than none taken at all!

And.., you do have to be careful what you write. As a hard-and-fast rule, I don't publish anything I haven't personally used, paid for, tested, researched and promoted to others.

4) You have to show people where to go specifically and you have to tell them how to get there.

Then.., you have to grab their attention, hold their interest, maintain the connection and work towards some type of acion (that's committed). You know the drill. That's what Danny Johnson does. The only difference between you and her is that she's been a marketing student longer.

One Action You Can Use TODAY, Not Tomorrow

As with all of my posts, readers are encouraged to offer comments, suggestions and feedback.  You can do that here at blogger...and I will see your comments.

Now..., let's move into pay-per-click advertising because it stumps a lot of people.  It's not anyone's imagination because there is some work involved in getting it right.

What Internet Marketing Entails, 2 Methods of Advertising

Network marketers will ask, how does some of this stuff help me build my MLM?

Good question.  What's your number one problem?  Isn't it getting targeted and qualified leads who have a need for your stuff? It's everyone's challenge. So..., if you're using belly-to-belly marketing, the numbers do appear slowly.  That's true if you don't have an extensive network, or if don't have an Aunt Bell who knows a ton of people, or if you're in a church that's (still) open to your pitch.

In time the warm market shares its secrets, but if you're amongst "those who should be avoided", everyone but you in your church will know it. I can't tell you how many people I've talked to who have said, "Man. No one likes me anymore". It's unfortunate family doesn't tend to be as open as we'd like. But, amends can be made and you can still grow your business.  You just have to get your hands wrapped around the right tools and the right information. That's all that's involved.

So preserve your name on the dinner list and leave your warm market alone.

Now..., if you'd like to harness the power of technology, you CAN put those numbers in your favor. And..., you can do it without bugging people you love.  I've heard some say, "Well..the net is not for everyone".  That's true too.  You have to decide what you want for yourself and then go for it.   But..., you don't have to lose a ton of money to get what you want.  You will have to work for it by putting your messages out there yourself.

Think of the Net As A Big Puzzle

Now we delve into business online.  A few years ago, all someone had to do was --

1) Put up a tacky banner
2) Drive people (traffic) to that ad
3) Give 'em a pitch
4) And..., wait for them to hit the pay button.

We should be so lucky.  It's not true today. Here's why.  Now the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN demand rich content fitting into whatever it is the customer wants most.  We call this "offering relevant information". If they're searching for red baseballs, they should be able to see what types of baseballs are out there..., by make,  model (tough vinyl or leather), and by price.  Before they make up their minds, they'll want to hear what others have to say about red baseballs...or maybe they'll want to compare a few places offering the product they're after...just to get the best deal.

Relevancy Means

If Johnny enters red baseballs into his search and Google displays an ad that shows pink aprons, you don't have a relevant match.

It's the same thing for you as a marketer. So your messages must carry appeal by stating what the problem is, offering a solution, and then by giving people choices they can follow for some type of price they're willing to pay.  Pricing should always be based on the value of those packages you bring to the table as true benefits of product/service use meet assessed needs. When I use the word "assessed", perhaps you offer your prospects a 30-minute free consultation.  That's one way of figuring out what prospects want.

In pay-per-click advertising, there is learning involved.

Today, quick-time operators won't make the cut.  The Internet is evolving so we must evolve with it...and as Google continues to demand more relevant content, that's a big thing for us as marketers.  It is more than 'just publishing words online'. Anything you publish should help your audience know more about what you're promoting by benefits (not features), by value (what something is worth going way beyond price), and by service.

So when does pay-per-click advertising fit into a campaign online?

It should be used when you have content published under your name. If you have profiles appearing at all of the major social sites (Linked-In, Plaxo, Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace), then you're off to a good start. Try to keep your profiles as simple as you can. I know..., it's a challenge for many marketers. We tend to put "too much" in one space so peole can get confused.

Ok. Now..., when people enter a search and they find...say someone like you, they'll check you out to see what you're doing.  If you make the cut, they'll stay.  If not, they're gone.  If they like you and want what you're offering, what they will most want is YOU.

The Net Requires A Recipe of Specific Marketing Ingredients

The net works like a baking recipe..., and Internet marketing is the sum total of those working parts. When you're new to this realm, it's a puzzle.  The key thing is not to give up.

Let's talk about how pay-per-click fits in.  It's one approach of many ads you put out there carrying your name. You dont' want to advertise your company because people really want to "fix whatever is bugging them".

Predominant Advertising, 2 Ways

I've talked about this information in some of my other blogs dedicated to different types of marketers, but there are 2 predominant ways of advertising yourself online:

1) Free -- you already know this by tapping into the social networks.

2) Paid -- this is where the Top Dogs reside.

Somehow, you've got to find a way to go from FREE to PAID. So which form of advertising is better?  It depends on how your campaign is set up.

Are you working for longer-terms results or are you after quick revenue?  The second answer depends hugely on the level of marketing expertise you hold.

Let's Assume You're Into Some Internet Marketing

So you've been playing in the social networks but you've gotten very limited results.  You're not alone but you are still finding powerful ways of "standing apart from other people". This part is big.

Find a system that works. That's the big one.

Seasoned players have systems in place so that they can go for the quicker money.

Newbies ...(and I've been there) ...are scratching their heads..., feeling unsure about who they can trust with good reason.

I've seen more bunk moved online than even I'd care to admit (I bought).

So What Do You Do If You're New?

Here's what I learned after stumbling through 5 MLM's. Newbies are highly encouraged to invest their time in picking up some Internet marketing education.  Sorry.., you may not want to hear that news, but knowing what works and doesn't work is what will save you "online cash donations".

HINT: Avoid the superaffiliates who would sell you the sky.

HINT: Avoid the Top Gun MLM'ers who would sell you the sky.

Get my drift?

You're gonna have to get marketing staples and knock yourself out for a while to see what works.

So..., yes...education is needed.  It's like becoming a doctor or an attorney.  You're not going to step into surgery or into court without obtaining the right kind of training needed to make it work.  If you do, you'll get creamed..or worse...arrested.

It's the same for Internet marketers...even at the network marketing level.  What Top Guns don't reveal is what they went through to learn what they know today.

So..should you use pay-per-click if you're new? I don't recommend it. Start with FREE means.

1) write articles
2) submit to major directories (what's that, you're asking?)

You have to stay tuned to find out more. If I give you the entire pizza in one sitting, you'll get sick. Trust me. I've been there.

Take Heed If You Go Online (Thru Paid Ads)

If you decide to do this, you have to know how to set up what's called an "ad group"..., and you have to pick the right domain name (it's that long name you often see in the upper left hand corner of your search bar) when someone is entering keyword phrases. Ok. If I lost you, let's go back to digesting pizza slices 1 and 2.

If you go into paid advertising, you want to access qualified (and certified help). There are universities out there that only teach this stuff at bachelor levels but they're gearing you up for corporate handcuffs and they teach marketing which won't necessarily prepare you set up a website properly or get that page ranked at Google just to get that business. Feeling sick yet? Sorry. That's not my intention.

You've heard it said -- "Anything worth while takes preparation". It's true.

Head Into Article Marketing

Article marketing is a publishing method new and seasoned players may use to put themselves online. This
type of advertising is free and it does give you the needed time you'll want to test your content.  It's not the fastest way into profit.  It takes massive writing but you get traffic for FREE!

In the event that a fair number of you network marketers are saying, "But wait.  I know who my market is.  It's everyone". Not online. You'll get nixed from the entire online world if you believe that.

You will have one or two main segments that you can appeal to, if you're marketing one flagship product (your MLM's core product).

Case For Not Targeting The Entire World

If you go after every market online, you'll hit a tiny, tiny slice of the entire marketing pizza. I call this "broad marketing with no results" (and no pay).

Proof --

Look at your favorite store online.  There are many types.  Different stores offer different things.  If you're a Nordstrom gal or guy, you wouldn't shop at Wal-Mart..., nor would you buy things you don't view as being very exclusive.

Conversely, if you're an outdoor-lover, REI or Sports Authority may bring you a wide range of sports-related products while they offer you a variety of camping or hunting-related stuff.  That's one example of broad outdoor marketing. They're appealing to a lot of audiences, but they've grown themselves into those markets. It didn't happen overnight.

It's the same in network marketing...and it's the same online.

Pick the right niche and you have something.  Pick the wrong one and you'll have an empty wallet with no payers in hand. Worse, you'll have a downline that's not doing a darned thing. In that case, you need a powerful system that delivers "results in advance". No kidding. The right system is everything.

So ...when you're starting a new campaign...say online..or even offline, all marketers start with a broad approach because they have no way of really knowing (in hard-core details) who's going to want what.  There is some trial-and-error involved. Start broad..and then over time...define your market segment.

Now..., for those who say..."Yeah. PPC ain't tough". Well...if you're working different markets all at once, your wallet will tell you something else. That happens.

Article Marketing Does the Testing For You

If you're new in network marketing, and you don't want to conduct business offline entirely, the online reality is a viable solution.  And.., it stands to reason that article marketing (approach #1) would make the best sense for you.  Again -- you will have to write a lot of articles just to get early flows in traffic. People tend to think..."Oh, I only have to write 5 articles". What they get is -- "I only have 2 people".

You have to write more than 50 articles. You have to write hundreds and hundreds...but don't let that hold you back. Here's why.

THE BEST, MOST TARGETED LEADS ARE ONES YOU CREATE YOURSELF.

The reality is -- you have to continually publish yourself whether your write those articles yourself or outsource the work.  Don't worry.., I'm connected to more folks than you could imagine so I will continue to bring in new resources here, but I will caution -- you will trade time and effort for what will later become money earned.

So why go to all this effort if it seems futile?  Well...it's not.  You just have to be patient with the process.

  • Writing articles is the best way to establish your expertise in a given area
  • It gives you long term credibility
  • It helps you generate natural (organic traffic).
  • This is extremely helpful because you generate your own quality leads for free !  Kindly remember -- article marketing is a long-term approach.
The faster approach is to layer pay-per-click advertising (eventually) with article marketing and maybe some videos.

Getting the idea?

Yup. Now you're adding hundreds of onlookers to your funnelling system.

Pay-Per-Click Advertising Gone Bad

Here's where things get dicey.  If you have no education in this arena, you'll see some of your more avid network marketers lose their shorts. Remember -- at Google, there is a pause button.

Let's say --

And..., you have to create several ads to find the ones that will best perform. This is both art and science. Start with 2 ads ..., then add a 3rd..., but rotate out your lowest performing ad over a few week's time.., keep this process going.

What Top Guns Don't Tell

Eventually, you will have hundreds of ads working for you online.

This Part Is Big

Did you notice?  I mentioned there was a "pause button" at Google. When you form your $50 account (as they require for a small deposit), you always have the ability to control what you spend on a daily basis.

When you don't want your ad(s) to run...say... on a Saturday because folks in your sub-niche head outdoors at that time, then it makes sense to "hit pause".  Once you know how frequently people click on your ads (as per days of the week), you can work around this data.

Forget the content network for now.  Top business people online recommend that you use "search" network.

How PPC Works On Any Given Day

How ppc works during any given day has more to do with what you're marketing.  Days of the week matter for some industries and weekends matter more for others.  Banking is one industry that relies on Monday - Saturday so you wouldn't normally have Sunday deposits other than some type of drop deposit taking place.

Here are other examples listed below.

EXAMPLE:

If you're moving a service that's travel related, you know people like to be home by Sunday..., but they don't mind traveling on a Tuesday.

If you're moving a product that's health/wellness, you know people easily enjoy purchases during a weekend when they have ample time to address their health, assuming they're not working on weekends.  So.., you may find that by hitting that pause button on Mondays and Tuesdays works well.

Testing is required to find peaks and valleys in any ppc campaign.

Use Caution When First Tapping Into PPC

Be sure to monitor your daily ad spend.  What new Internet marketers don't know is that you can spend your entire monthly budget in paid ads in just one day (as people click on your ads).  Don't worry though.  There are ways to set a daily limit by putting a cap on the total number of searches people view your ad during any given day.

If you're not sure how to use pay-per-click, here's something to think about. The question you read below is a common question new folks online will pose.

I'm thinking about starting a Web site for residual income and need some help screening numerous programs?  So what's the best way to proceed?

Your biggest question should be, what is the purpose of my website?  Is it for profit or not? If it's the first answer, then pay-per-click is something you'll want to advance towards when you're more ready.  There are ppc certification courses designed to help you ahead of time ...moving you toward the goal that you will "monetize" something on the back end.

If you want to know more about this information, please feel free to post your comment.  I can easily direct you to a proven source that is very affordable...and NO, it won't cost you hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

If your site or blog is for informational purposes mainly, ask yourself --  will this site help people determine what they'll later buy?  If yes, it could be possible that you'll want to use article marketing as your first course. That way, you can earn your early seed money later paying pay-per-click advertising.

Closed Systems

When you build a campaign online, it should be a closed system.  Specifically, it should be a system designed to keep all of your visitors on YOUR site..., going there for more information or for learning more about you, your product(s) and your service(s).

Top Guns Use Closed Systems!

If you're in this game for profit (as I would hope most of you are), then you'll want to earn something you can live by.  Don't be shy about aiming for something great in your life because you deserve to be compensated well !

If you're interested in earning a very small slice of the pie, then do this.  Send visitors to someone else's site.  This is one of the worst actions you could take.  That's why -- if you're using one of those automated, hands-off automated (self-replicated) websites tens of thousands of other distributors own (in your MLM), you're sending people to them!  In fact, if you're actively working your MLM, that's precisely why you don't want to position an upline.  As soon as you do this, you forfeit your credibility.

Aim For A Complete Solution In Due Time

This part took me a few years to figure out and it's big.  I gave you a hint in the beginning. Find a system that works.

You're looking for a system which will concretely build your business and your downline. Systems are in place for solid reasons because they help you move larger numbers. You want something that will give you a provable traffic record (using something like Webanalyzer or Google Analytics).

Then, you'll want to get highly-targeted advertisers to pay for SHOWING your ads instead. This is pay-per-impression rather than pay-per-click.

Source(s):

http://google.com/analytics

http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/

Google's analytic tool is easier to use because you can click on "view report" when you're looking at traffic (defined as the # of people who have viewed your website ...or say... your blog).

The 2nd resource seems a bit complicated so I would recommend you use Google analytics.

Again...feel free to post your questions and I'll do my very best to help.

If this content loses you, that's okay too.  Sometimes the best exposure is "just getting early information".

Let me know what your top 3 problems are, and I'll be happy to streamline my posts.

This is about helping you get what you need -- not bring you what I think I need to publish.

I will provide additional links in the days and weeks ahead.  For now, this is about getting you information you can use today.

Mastered Positioning Online & Offline

Welcome Back Fellow Top Guns,

Today's post covers something very important to your overall success.  What's the difference between you and the guy or gal who's standing on stage?

For one. Some are hired players.

Two -- the heavy hitters who are silently making a killing are working so quietly that you wouldn't know they exist. That's because we have some folks who aren't so open to the "newer ways of conducting business" and they're a bit fussy about it.

That's ok. This is NOT about us VS. THEM.

This is about improving things that haven't been working as well as we'd hope for the past 5 years.

This is about putting information into anyone's hands who want to honestly learn and apply what they know with success!

Assumption #1 - What Do You Have Going For Yourself Online?

For most people, it's not much. I say this with care and respect. Don't worry. There are viable solutions that you don't even have to pay for.

Let's assume that you're a high player who's been around the block and let's say that you have your own independent website.  If so -- excellent job !

If not -- we're going to take care of that by getting you started online.

Postioning Is Using Your Name Instead of Someone Elses's

In my last post, I mentioned that people only buy in the presence of true mastery.  Maybe you missed that part.  So the guy or gal standing on stage are people who have the ability to talk to others in a crowd.

Big deal.

Well...it is if you're the one who's standing up there.

Now...let's get to average Jane and Joe..., the newest distributors in the line up.

Your upline does want to see you succeed. That is true.

You're trusting and you naturally want information from someone who knows what's going on, but even if you were just consuming your companies products, you wouldn't want a trainee upline, would you? Not really. That's understandable.

So the same deal applies to you, the new distributor. You've got to use only your name on everything you do.  Do it with zest and be ok with it...because that's how people think and purchase.

So... how would you feel if I told you that we could begin TODAY to position you as the expert you are...say in your MLM... moving a health juice or a financial service of some type...or identity theft prevention...whatever it may be?  You'd be pretty excited, right?

I was.

Now..., let's say that you're seasoned and you're doing well, but you've hit the glass ceiling and you don't know why you can't make that breakthrough.

YOU DID'NT DO ANYTHING WRONG.

Are you sitting down?  The only thing you need to do is to update your skills a bit.  That's it.  But.., you want to tap into accurate marketing information.  You don't need a ton of tools that won't help you move from point A to point B.

And..,

You will require further positioning (only the biggest marketers use). So how are you going to do that if you don't have anything published under your name?  I may be taking an excessive turn here by recommending this...so just hang with me for now.

Here's the thing.  If you had just a few things appearing "on screen" listed under your name...or let's say that you cut/paste someone else's grand article, you've just positioned the other person.

Don't do that. I'm saying this with love as goofy as it sounds.  Don't. You're worth more than you know.  You deserve to put your name up in lights.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that if you did this, day in and day out, week in and week out, without fail, eventually people would begin to see you in a very different light. Sure! Of course they would.

You're out there publishing by using your own words..., connecting to others through your personality when we have a ton of people online cutting/pasting someone else.  Use your personality. Be different.

And..if you did those things..., wouldn't it stand to reason that you would be way ahead of many distributors who weren't doing that?

I will tell you why.

I publish articles in one of the world's largest, most interactive marketing forums (not to brag)...but to say a lot of people spend their time reading about my content.

That's it.

They're on one side of the screen.

You're on the other side. You're going to have a big advantage.

Are You A Laggard Called the Late Adopter?

Let's assume you're between the ages of ...40 - 49 and let's assume you're a Boomer.  30% of Boomers are online.  That's it !

I'll let you in on a little secret.  At one time, I was a "laggard".  Then, I hit the wall and it was a blessing.

I had to make changes and fast.

What Happens If You Put Multiple Blogs Up?

So ask yourself..., what would happen if you formed several blogs under your name?  I'm talking about blogs that will be relevant....and this part takes time because you'll make mistakes.

Let's say you're moving dog food. You'd have one blog written about what dogs like and don't like to eat..., and you'd talk about training your dog to walk beside you better, and maybe you'd talk about what veterinarians look for when a dog has heart worms. It's content like this that people want. They love "How To" information.

And..then...let's say that you had another service that merged well with dog food and vet care. Let's say that it had more to do with dog houses...so you put up a blog that talked only about the different types of dog houses that one could find online...or you talked about ways to paint a dog house so you'd only have to do it once every 3 years.

And..., what would happen if you put out some articles ...say online...carrying your name, totalling about 150 or so in number?  Take a deep breath because I'm not here to scare you.  I mean...I'm here and when I first started, I had a lot I had to learn.

If I can do it, so can you.

And... if you're still freaking out by saying..., "I can't do that.  My company prohibits this kind of activity"!

Bunk.

I'll tell you that there are real and plausible alternatives that are so powerful you'll kick yourself because you didn't learn about these basics early on.  So it's not your fault.  Let me say that much.

We have a huge number of senior distributors who don't really know the first thing about Internet business so that's why they say, "Work the warm market". It sounds easier but is it really?

Now.., you don't have to be the one who will say..., "I don't know about that". That's why I'm here.  Ok.  Now just take it a step further by keeping an open mind.

Ask yourself -- what would happen if you had a few blogs of your own and you form some really neat information that people could enjoy ...say on a website? You don't even have to write from scratch because you wrote 150 articles months ago..., you've tested those articles to see who clicks what (and you can do this with blogger and other blogging sites), and now you know what people are looking for.

Guess what? You've just tested content destined to appear on your website? See how it works? I can see your wheels turning. Hang with me.

I am sharing stuff that's so viable, it will make your skin crawl...and yes...I've had some marketers "yell at me" for giving away their secrets.

Again...bunk.

You're what counts.

Now...see yourself on my side of the screen. The only difference is -- you're where you're at...and I'm where I'm at. What's the difference?

Positioning.

That's all it is.

Now...there's that maternal side of your logical mind that says, "Hey wait a minute". So if you're on the other side of this screen and you're visiting with me right now, "How do I know that I can trust you"?

You don't. Not yet. That's why you want to take your time. Give me time to prove myself to you. Make me work for you. Do the same with your MLM.

Above all -- use your mind to open your world up further..., but do it with care. Never give away your power to anyone if your gut is "hurting you". That's your guts way of saying, "This information is not meant for you".

If you still feel open and clear, then proceed.

Now... so let's say -- you have some blogs..., and you have some articles...and now you've got some proven content for your website.

Think BIG numbers and don't get lost in some of the dreaded stories you've heard from other uplines (who probably did lost their shirts and shorts at Google). A lot of good people have been there.  They just weren't prepared for what had to happen (lots of ads...plenty of testing...patience, learning...and some discomfort).

We humans don't like change so we fight the process.

Firstly, you don't have to step into paid advertising for one.  I talk about this reality in my next post titled, Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Does It Work"? So...stay tuned.

Secondly, it costs you time and research to get these blogs going.

You don't have to pay for these accounts ! They're free.

And..., in time..., you will become the hunted because you will be appearing on the "other side of this screen" when many are not here ..., writing to people who want to know more about what you have to offer.

I'll give you a few more hints.  You have to offer the public what they demand.  They want content rich information that answers present needs so it takes work to find solutions they can really use without adding fluff.

Consider Some Use of the Net

If you're a traditionalist, that's ok.  I'm just saying..., it won't hurt you look at other possibilities.

If you don't consider supplementing what you're already doing, you can only continue to work your warm market for so long before the well dries.  It's just a law about business.

Sooner or later, you'll have to hit the open  market.  And..., it's no big deal.  It just some reworking your messages (by phone) and that's where I can help. It takes additional confidence in your abilities (and you really do have that already).  So, the best part is -- you don't have to work a cold, cold market.

Hint: Again...I'm here.  Over time, I'm warming myself up to you.  You see? That's what articles and blogs and websites do. They get people used to you.

A fair number of your fellow network marketers have hopped online...and direct response marketers (that's us) know that we'll be hit by a ton of MLM'ers cross-recruiting everyone else if we hit the free sites.

You Don't Have to Be a Tekkie

Wordpress is easiest to use.  Blogger takes more thought.

How I learned -- I just started clicking and saving content in Word documents.  If you don't know how to do that, then we start with simple e-mails. Working and reworking.

Start with one-on-one prospecting.

Just work on connecting to people each day.

Keep it going...for one month, two months, three..and so on.

Then.., things will begin to happen by year 1.  It takes time.

Then plink around some of your favorite sites that aren't MLM. You're after sites that show you patterns of content..., looking at how content is organized and looking at where links appear and don't appear.

Then...look at your favorite blogs. Note links and connections.  Note structures and formats.  Note everything.

That's what I did.

In about 4 months of doing, doing, doing, I had figured out both blogging platforms I'm sharing with you here.

To find something worthy of writing about, you have to look for content that's fascinating to you.  Let's say that you're moving a health/wellness juice..again...and you have access to the huge corporate library. But..., you could spout product knowledge all day long and people would get lost in the translation.

So again...your content should key into their true needs.  You do that by finding out what they're trying to solve.

Head to the forums. Never mind the complaints. You're after who's asking for how, how often, and in what frequency. Get the bigger picture? Then..., find content that will answer those woes. You've just created the first phase in what will be more than a website!

Hint: Let's say that your juice solved 'joint pain'... and let's say that you've stumbled upon a number of people in person or online who have joint pain.  So.., you asked them if you could "interview them" for information.  Now.., you'll be more successful in obtaining pointers if you don't pressure these folks to buy. You can even call people "by survey only"...and they'll take the time to answer your questions! Try this. It works...but thank them for their time and try to be brief.

Look for information you can act upon later as you zero in on "a hot market". That's what you're after. So.., you start asking questions about...

1) How long has that person endured their joint pain?
2) Are they paying for pain meds or more expensive remedies prescribed by their doctors?
3) Do they like paying a lot of money for this stuff?
4) Would they like to find a better way to solve their joint pain tapping into natural remedies?
5) How has their suffering impacted their quality of life?
6) Have they lost time from work or have their family lives suffered as a result of limited mobility?
7) Would they like to know how they can get their products delivered right to them without the hassle
of calling customer service on the phone?

It's stuff like that. These questions guide you.  Then.., you find a variety of articles people would like to read on.... "How Much People Spend On Pain Meds Annually Masking Osteoarthritis". Then.., you would find an article that talks about "Money Saved By Tapping Into Alternative Herbs or Remedies". And.., you would find an article that addresses, "Ways to Reduce Osteoarthritic Pain While Increasing Your Quality of Life"...or something along those lines.  Now..., put those articles on a blog.

That's positioning. When you learn to do something like this (and more), you will have people approaching you ...asking..., "What are you doing, how can I get this...or how can I join you"?

Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks ahead.

Business Owner's Mindset - Essential or Hocus Pocus?

Hello Top Gun Network Marketers,

CENTRAL INTENTIONS --

In this blog, plans are to bring you content your top recruiting producers may not necessarily share (unless you grease their palms with tens of thousands of dollars).

SCOPE OF BLOG --

This Secret MLM Vault is designed for network marketers.  In all posts, I bring relevant content, resources, recommendations, and helpful marketing tips and tricks.  I will from time-to-time, recommend tools I've used myself.

If I include economic articles here and there, it is because this information impacts you as a business owner.

Let's begin with mindset work because this knowledge determines your level of success as you directly apply yourself.

You Are The CEO And No One Else

Unless your upline pays all of your bills, I doubt that person is really in the position to dictate to you what you should or shouldn't do. Even million dollar players reach their success because they save the ultimate say regarding all decisions for themselves.

RULE 1: You are the CEO of your business. You make all key decisions impacting your bottom line.

With access to the right marketing information, tools and techniques, you are positioned to make an independent go in life if that's what you ultimately intend.

RULE 2: There are no shortcuts. Anyone who tells you that 'we will build your business for you' isn't being truthful.

Reality:  People can work together to achieve a common goal, but you will have to sift and sort through many people to get to the top performers and you will have to conduct business until you can attract and build your organization or recruiting force.

Reality: It is true that you build your business with a group of people who also build their businesses. This part is critical to your success. You're looking for the right ones who will be dedicated to that success.  You want at least 3 Top Guns.., if not 4.

5 Top Guns working in group fashion can be too many, but it can work in rare cases where everyone pulls their weight.

Reality: You don't have to go it alone.

Reality:  If you hop online, you don't have to go into pay-per-click advertising right off the bat. You have affordable options and low-cost to even free starters.

Reality:  If you hop online, there's a lot more you can do to advertise yourself at little to no cost to your wallet. It goes beyond social networking (at sites like Linked-In, Plaxo, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and more).  In these networks, Top Guns go into paid advertising to get away from MLM'ers cross-recruiting other MLM'ers.

Reality:  You'll work like a dog but you can have huge fun.

Reality:  If you enjoy mentoring others, the online realm and senior marketing can be the cat's meow...and it won't be problem-free.  You're working with other human beings who need time and assistance.

Reality:  There are many proven systems that already work online.

Reality:  There are solid ways to supplement your income while you are growing your network marketing business.

Reality:  You must be willing to learn and apply what's offered...but in the best of realms, you should be FREE to ask any questions.  Content forums should remain open for the benefit of all concerned.

Reality:  Seasoned network marketers do not know what their online counterparts know.  I'll call these counterparts the top 5%.  This is said with great care.  Online network markerters have learned to harness the power of technology.

Reality:  Drop family and friends (warm market).  It's very limiting or in the very least, you'll hit the wall once you've prospected everyone to death.

Once you're more successful and you're making solid $$ (which you can definitely do from home or on the go), then you can work your warm market.  Until then -- leave them alone. They don't want to hear about "another opportunity".

Reality:  Put the numbers in your favor.  Belly-to-belly won't meet this need very well so consider radical solutions many others are now using.

Reality:  If you're a Baby Boomer, you're being left in the dust by Generation X'ers and Generation Y'ers.  Again..., this is said with great care.

Reality:  Only 30% of Baby Boomers have formed profiles in all of the social networks online.  Generation X and Y'ers top 50% and greater. We're groping with how to best use the social networks because they're opening up to paid adverisers if they're not already doing this. Twitter is one of them.  They haven't earned a dime but they're setting up profitable platforms by "just getting profile information".

Why Boomers Need To Update Their Skills

Gen X = this group of people fall between 18 - 29
Gen Y = you'll find these people between 30 - 45
Boomers = you'll see laggards in larger number...70%... between 46 - 64 !!

Boomers

Ok. To hit the top level in your MLM (or even online), you have got to look at things as they are progressing.

Facts You Can't Ignore

*  MLM'ers from 1 company to the other are sharing information they used 60 years ago
*  People will consume products for about a year on average
*  New recruits don't do much
*  New recruits will last for 3 months max if they recruit their warm market
*  Top leaders are naturally frustrated
*  Top leaders are saying, "What we did years ago isn't working anymore".  That's because major markets have shifted in big ways....,
*  The Information Age is here ...,
*  More people than ever are entering social networks...,
*  A ton of them are cross-recruiting (to no avail) ....,
*  Radical approaches are needed...,
*  Telemarketers have worn out public welcome -- ask the politicians.  Businesses online have to use what's called a double-opt-in method...getting twice the amount of permission offline people barely get but once.
*  Huge numbers of people coming online want to operate a business but don't know how
to market themselves...,
*  There's a huge gap in training...,
*  We have some really great people helping others online...and some aren't so hot...,
*  If you're looking for a group you can join, how to do you find ones you even like ?
*  And a host of other unmet needs...,

Plans are to brings you up-to-date information at Top Gun levels. If not, you'll want to read someone else's blog.

Tough News --  Boomers are looking outdated by Gen X'ers and Y'ers and they're leaving 70% of us (not yet online) in the dust.

Here's Why As X'ers and Y'ers Are:

*  Texting every day
*  35% of the Boomers text
*  9% of Boomers watch an online video in the past 24 hours...
*  They missing out on key information X'ers and Y'ers access daily....,
*  Only 30% of Boomers have a social networking profile
*  Only 30% of Boomers mainly get their news from the Internet.

Points Favoring What Boomers Naturally Do

*  Sure..., they want to rely on 'solid newscasting sources'..., if we can even say that this is true given recent events in media coverage (going back to September 2008)...,
*  Continue doing what's known...and not face changes...,
*  Consider pulling in online news like "Google receiving 10,000 inquiries from federal government sources to access user data".  The government naturally needs to target criminal influences and 3rd-world folks undermining successful search engine results.
*  If you're in the social networks as part of the 30% forging ahead, you are to be congratulated...,
*  OK..., some say the Internet is "not the end-all-be-all"..., but unless you're really good at swinging your downline over to every other MLM you join (something I don't recommend)..., or unless you're really good at convincing newbies to open up their networks (something that's happening less and less with greater resistance), you must find powerful alternatives...,
*  If you're not a powerhouse who can attract people by the droves in public to work those numbers supporting your success, then you must find proven alternatives...,

Now more of us jnetwork marketers (and Internet marketers) are online.

We did so because:
*  We hit the conventional MLM wall..., or had very little success using old methods...,
*  We figured out  -- to hit massive numbers needed for true success, we had to find efficient ways of talking to folks very fast...,
*  We figured out  --  once we knew how to attract people by the droves, we had to "match our services and products to needs" to stay in the game for good...,
*  We needed to have multiple ways of talking to people to hit the needed targets.

That's why mindset is key.

If you aren't sure what wearing a CEO hat means -- learn and apply top marketing techniques.  The competition online can be stiff if you don't know what to do.

If not, many people who operate their own businesses are unique..., and your talents are needed elsewhere.

Business Owner's Mindset - Essential or Hocus Pocus?

Without beating my drum, I'd like to share something talented masters in any industry use.  It's called the mastered mindset..., going way beyond what everyday folks usually think about.  If you agree, you're standing 'out in the crowd' !  All people are special..., and you..., a potentially powerful network marketer must understand that you'll have to incorporate efficiencies "freeing up time you'd rather spend with family".  I'm with you on that one.

Your success requires several levels of business just to stay afloat, productive and competitive.

Not telling you anything you don't already  so  you can see how important it is to acquire and maintain a successful mindset before you're talking to hoards of people.

MLM Mindset Defined

According to MLM "Traditional" Definition --

"Don't give in, keep going, have that business owner's mindset needed to be successful".  This is true up to a point.

"Work your warm market".

Embracing 21st Century Marketing

The Boomers who are thinking like Generation X'ers and Y'ers are ahead of the game.  They grew up with technology.  If you were like me, I had to "white knuckle" things because I didn't want to be left in the dust.

Prevaling Thoughts Among Top Players Is

"Hop online because there's a window of opportunity not to be missed".

Internet business is growing each year despite economic struggles.  More want to order what they need from the convenience of home.  In my case, my spouse ordered parts online to build his 4-passenger RV 10 (yes...in our garage).  I can barely fit my car in there.

What About Internet?
If you're asking..., why consider the Internet?  If you look at the ethernet formed 20 years ago, the Internet is still fairly new and is still developing.  But..., that's a good question. As a CEO, you always have options.  If you're not thrilled about Google, you have Yahoo and MSN.

Did you know that there are free to low-cost ways of putting yourself online?  Yup.

What's Not So True

If you do everything your MLM tells you to do and you find you're getting poor (or very limited) results, you have to step back and ask yourself a tough question.

"Why am I doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results!"

When you're in 'the trenches', it's easy to wear blinders.  Many of us don't ask this Q until we hit a big brick wall.

Here's why.

I will tell you from 5 MLM's of my own, it's like getting into your car everyday.  You're putting your foot on the brake but you're expecting the car to accelerate.

I know. You've been there and it IS frustrating.

Break Habits Not Serving You

Get rid of the unproductive habits holding you back.  In my case, I had to have someone spell it out for me in big, bold letters several times.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again...".  Okay -- so some of you have probably heard this before.

You have to take a radically NEW approach.  It's like being in a marriage where 2 people aren't communicating.  Ok. Pull in humor.  Don't hit your spouse over the head when he/she is walking in the door after a long day at the office.

  • Alter your viewpoint,
  • Add new methods,
  • Incorporate new tools...(not all of these things have to cost you a fortune),
  • Update old skills,
  • Find out what's valued,
  • Fill in gaps with new learning,
  • Get what's required and in demand,
  • Scrap the old experiment and head back to the drawing board

Helpful Hints

I will tell you something you already know.  Many businesses hit the "not having enough prospects wall".  Here's what surprized me.   When they're MLM's or retailers, it doesn't matter !  Times change.

What worked two decades ago may not entirely apply today.  People change. Consumers' minds change. Values change so needs change.  The best business owners know this big fact.  When this happens, we have to change with the times ...and change is often a good thing.
So.., if you've done those things that aren't working for you, change what you're doing. Don't let others make up your mind for you if your past experience has yielded 'real answers'.., being..., traditional network marketing does work for the company...

... it wasn't set up to work for you.

Shed a few tears but rejoin the human race.

And..., get in touch with your anger to see where you're making the same mistakes...

but..., don't linger there.

Then..., get productive.

Listing Prior Mistakes

This part really helped me.  I formed a list of common mistakes I made -- grabbing 3 who knew 3 so that my upline could get credit for the 2.5 people he closed.  NICE.  That's the national average before any one of us decides to quit....

or not..., so congrats on that choice !

What Traditional MLM's Aren't Seeing

Some of us in the late 90's (across many MLM's) said,

"We want our own websites to reflect our own personalities"

"No way", they said.

I said..., "Way"!

Corporate Management Problem #1:

Sticking your head in the sand.

Corporate Management Problem #2:

Boomers never accept "No" as a legitimate answer.

Gen X'ers and Y'ers don't care.  Their friends and family are more important.

Corporate Management Problem #3:

We never stop and we know better.

Solutions ???

Yup -- tons of them.  Now we get into the powerful stuff that will blow the socks off your feet.

Be the Top Gun.

How do we do that if we're confused and feeling dazed?

Productivity and success in your MLM starts by finding new information, aligning yourself to people you enjoy doing business with..., then putting your head down to find workable solutions to the ails that prevent you from sleeping at night.

Look for groups who are making it happen.

They're springing up.

Find out what they're doing...and can create your success.

Look At A Regular Business Mindset

When I didn't know what 'radically new MLM decisions' meant or involved, I looked at everyday retailing and franchising.  These businesses spell out every detail because they know what works.  If you look back to early days in human communities, marketing has been around for a very long time and there's nothing new under the sun.

So... think about this -- if businesses out there are working and they're being run by individuals and groups you'd like to meet, you have to ask yourself what they're doing that's different from what you've been doing?

I'll give you a hint...,

Position Yourself As The Expert

It's a fact.  People buy in the presence of true leadership and mastery.  It's just how we behave as human beings.  When we want buying questions answered, we don't run to trainees.  Right?  Right.

Positioning doesn't mean -- "Fake it until you make it".  People can see through that ruse.  I'm suggesting -- stop edifying (talking big) about someone else when they're running the show!

Advertise only yourself.  It's done in regular business so it's also the same thing in network marketing.

Proof

You don't see the top onstage marketers running to someone else for validation.  Sure..., they hire someone who's making even more than they make now.., but they do it quietly.

The most successful marketers consistently get updated information, education.

The most successful marketers find mentors they enjoy being around and truly like.

This is about mentoring someone nearly like yourself in work ethic, in ways they naturally respect other people.  So..., that person has to align to you.  Clarifying -- you want someone who won't operate differently in business than you would do yourself.

Example:  You won't see a 1% performer aligning himself to a criminal.., unless that person (with criminal tendencies) seems honest or unless he's a criminal attorney.  Ok. Then that works.

You won't see a top recruiter do something they don't agree with -- unless they've been handsomely paid to ignore their ethics.  You will see this from time to time.

This Fact Shocked Me

Position someone other than yourself or you give business away to that person.

To Find Your True Masterful (Business) Self

You have to slay your ego.  It really gets in your way by creating fear.

Let go of approval you want from the networkers you already know.

It's tough..., but use your common sense to guide you.

A solid marketer will never intentionally falsify any information you're requesting.

They'll guide you towards the solution.

They'll show you the ropes within reason.

Nothing is for free.

Develop Top 1% Skills Others Will Seek Out (And Pay For)

That's the radical new choice.

You're after strong leadership..., but you also have to be willing to offer it in return.

This is how you build a strong organization.

Developing Skills That Are Highly Valued

It takes time to develop solid skills you can get paid for.

We call this "monetizing your marketing know-how".

Examples: writing, learning how to legally obtain people's information, attracting people to you on the basis of matched mindset/needs, constructing your own call, qualifying people who will pay for what you have to offer (not just targeting people who have no interest in you at all)..., and more.

So..this is about getting paid over and over and over again..., not just seeking compensation that won't give you the "preferred lifestyle you demand" (like paying your bills on time...imagine that) !

Or..,

  • Having enough for retirement
  • Paying for your children's education
  • Or buying your spouse a new car they can really use
  • Covering day-to-day household expenses
  • Getting health insurance
  • and more.
Make your list. Write down the big stuff first and fill in smaller items as you think about them.

So There You Have It -- The CEO Mindset

"Knowing that YOU can help ANYONE succeed in your company is hugely powerful.  And..., that know-how won't be based on hype.  It can be based on real marketing..., using math..., science and art.  Best part -- you don't have to get a college degree to learn it or apply it.

Then.., "Take defined steps to bring your reality about".

My Promise

Bring you staples you'll need to create a business you can be proud of, enjoy and keep it going strong regardless of what the market does or doesn't do.

If you read my next post on Business Owner's Mindset, Part 2..., I show you how to apply that mindset to everyday business leading to success.

Mindset, Part 2 -- Apply Basketball To Your Game

Welcome Back Top Guns,

In my last post, I talked a bit about what's needed to overcome early network marketing mistakes leading to results that were nil.  It means being honest with yourself like forming a list of the things you did that didn't work..., seeking the right information, then looking for a group that really works together.  This last part is big.

Mindset, Part 2 -- Apply Basketball To Your Game

So your company most likely told you, "Do whatever it takes to make it work".

In reality if we apply a long-term business model (one that you can more easily sustain and manage), you'll have to go beyond your known lists -- beyond family members and friends. It's inevitable.

It's not entirely true if your company asks you to enroll Mom, Dad, Sissy and Bunny (the family pet). That's because what MLM's do for themselves does work...but it really falls apart for the independent distributor. Again.., it's not your fault.

Bottom Line

The bottom line in any successful business is that you'll find strong backing in the form of a successful mindset.  This fact leads us to an obvious conclusion you'll consistently see in any business.

PEOPLE WILL WANT YOU AND ONLY YOU.

What Does A Mastered Mindset Really Involve?

So it's important to expand on the first part of mindset work, showing you how you can implement a powerful attitude (people will want and actively seek out).

Your upline who gave you tons of advice was right on the button when she/he told you, "People will want you".

Translation -- this advice represents your journey towards success, but it is only just a start.  It is not a final end. When you're building your business, you have to work diligently to 1) give people information, services and products they highly value.., 2) build rapport and trust..., then 3) work to readily deliver on those needs.

Masterful Mindset Applied

Let me demonstrate.  In my last post, I talked about what martial arts masters do (having worked with them directly).  It's a secret and it isn't.  Whenever these people are creating success, they do one thing. They use direct focus.  It's the same thing with Top Guns in any network marketing business.

That's what you have to do in any business.  You want a residual check (point B)...but you have yet to determine what point A is (obtaining prospects who want what you have to offer).  Focus on going from point A to B and cut out the extra stuff.

Aligning Your Natural Self To Those Who Can Help

Now..., line up your thoughts with something most of us try to avoid -- schedules.   You must first define  what's important and not important in your life.

* How to cover daily living and operating expenses + other costs you didn't foresee (it happens)
* How to make time you'll need for regular business
* How you'll recover from a few of the natural mistakes (we all make)
* How you'll regroup despite the odds
* How you'll keep the cycle (point A - point B) going.

Here's Where It Gets Fun

When your mindset is weak, it takes building.  When your skillset is weak.  It requires building.  Nothing new.

Find people who already believe in you.  They won't tell you that you're lazy, for one.

For every product or service on the planet being moved, there is a market average of 1%. Ok.  Now I hear you saying, "Why do all this work if I'm only getting 1% business?"  That's an excellent question.

Business owners know that if they can hit the target once and then twice...and then three times...and four times. They have a business.

You only have to find the 1% who want what you have to offer. That's it. I'm sharing this secret with you from 23 years of having worked for myself  (and it's the same thing in network marketing). You have to be the leader.

Success Comes With Consistently Applied & Focused Action

Here's how MLM Top Guns create their success.  Everyone has seen a basketball game before, right?  Well imagine this scene.  It's a tied game with 3 seconds remaining, and you have to make the shot.

Consider The Options -- 2 Mindsets

1) Weak Mindset, Poor Skillset

You've seen this mindset at work onstage -- the strong ones. Some guy or gal is speaking well and they're shouting at you,  Why?  Well.., that's not really needed.  In the face of true business information, network marketers like you want viable solutions.

Here's a reality.  Most network marketers don't have the mindset (yet in place), nor do they possess a solid, solid skillset they can monetize (or charge $$ for).

Apply Basketball Again

Apply this same thought to a basketball player shooting the basket.  A very skilled player practices every single day, but right now that person keeps thinking that there is no way he/she will make the shot. His chances of scoring the point?

You get what you think. It's going to be next to zero!

2) Great Mindset, Poor Skillset
This part can be funny because it's IDENTICAL to most network marketers.  I'm not trying to step on toes. I'm merely illustrating how mindset can be and truly is everything..., but mindset is not to be confused with ego.

This player has just come onto the court.  He/she really believes he/she can make the shot, but there's only one problem.  That person hasn't really ever held the ball, or made a shot in his/her life (through no fault of their own).  They're just missing the right aids.  What are the chances of scoring the point?

2% if that person is lucky.

Apply MLM Success Rates

5% Success -- Coincidence?

Top Gun Traits -- Strong Mindset, Strong Skillset

Now..., let's apply a Top Gun mindset -- strong in both areas. You want to be like that person but you haven't either developed the mindset or strong skillset.  Don't worry.  I had to develop the skillset so you're in good company with a lot of other network marketers.

This Top Gun will tell you if you ask..., who do you go to for help?  They do it all the time.  Harv Eker hired someone to give him the billionaire blueprint.

Danny Johnson hired someone at the $10,000 level for her first round.  Then.., she used that blueprint to create her success: seminars, prospecting, coaching, DVD's, you name it.

These two people will tell you that they have mentors and coaches and that they practice daily. These
peopld now that they can make the shot.

They had all the training needed to score points and it's no different for you.

Their chances of making the shot?  You guessed it. They're excellent. These people do not miss and no..., it's not because of luck.  It is because of the right study, the right-minded action, persistence and consistence.

So the only question right now is which one of the above do you want to be in your business?

Do and Do Again

I have several mentors. I have private coaches -- it's not hard to get these people if you go through a network. You must be patient. Again...as I said in a prior post... you'll need to (and want to) sift and sort. You'll go through small and large groups. Eventually -- bingo. You'll find 1 mentor. Then you'll find another and another. Pretty soon, you'll find the information. Then come a ton of questions and not so many answers (just yet)..., but you'll keep working until you find solutions you really can follow and be okay implementing.  Don't do anything you wouldn't ask someone else to do.  That's what I do.  Follow Universal Laws and the Golden Rule. That works too.

Top Guns Are Patient

These successful people I call Top Guns are patient. They almost become 'okay with nebulous first results'. And then they do and do again. Eventually, tiny results appear. They keep on going and they don't listen to heavy or negative information. You already know this much or you wouldn't be here.

Shy away from toxic people who ask you to do crazy things you wouldn't ask your own mother or father (or sister or brother) to do.

It's Up To You -- Adopt A Winning Mindset

Ok. We know that you can cure mindset when you work at it, but you still need someone to help you succeed. Are YOU ready for that success?

Here's What Helped Me (And It Still Does)

You want to look for direct guidance giving you results. Don't give up and don't worry heavily about the cost. That's fear rearing it's head again and it comes from your mind called the "Overly-Protective Mother" only wanting to keep you safe..., but not progressing. That's where your ego can and will work against you.

Use your rational mind to motivate your decisions.

The right help will come to you if it's really meant for you..., and if not, you're meant to be with another group.  It is that simple.

Autoresponder Mastery Series - Emotional Bank Accounts

Welcome Powerhouse Network Marketers,

This is the first in a series of what will be unusual content designed to put you ahead of the vast majority.

If you apply yourself consistently and you sincerely care about improving other peoples' lives, this vault is for you.  I call this my Secret MLM Success Vault.

I know you're constantly inundated with a ton of marketing information... so let's get to it.

You're about to read something a lot of other marketers miss.   This information means the difference between being 'ok'...and being 'world-class'..., but it applies to seasoned industry veterans and newbies alike.

Just in case you're a newbie, that's ok.  This information ...when applied correctly will absolutely help you build success beyond levels you'd typically imagine.

Autoresponder Mastery -- In Series

I will offer tips, tricks and techniques in future posts to help you build multiple contact lists, but for now, let's get into the heads of people who will want your services.

For those of you who have been using this tool for a while, you know what this tool does.  It's something you've used in conjunction with your company.  Did you know that you can own your own autoresponder for less than $20/month? No kidding.  It even frees you from using your MLM's expensive system to build a list that they own and will not allow you to transfer (in the event your current MLM doesn't work out).

Best Use

The best use of this tool is to fill up someone's emotional bank account. Read on.

If You're Not Sure What An Autoresponder Means To You For Top Success

When I was new to marketing, I said..."What in the heck is it..., how do you use it, and why do I need it"?

In this MLM vault, I will bring you special mastered tips, tricks, tools and techniques the Top 5%.. but
don't necessarily speak about...., unless you hand them $10,000K.

Build Your List At Golden Levels

You build a loyal following by building the emotional bank accounts of your prospects/clients.

You're after an exclusive list of contacts who will use your own unique services...going beyond mere product
consumption or going way beyond joint ventures that don't last for a variety of silly reasons.

If you've ever wondered how to position yourself for grander times ahead, then we're getting into writing your own books or even owning your own line of products (someday...where full profits reside)..., even sponsoring seminars taught by you at Inner Circle Levels.  But that's a topic for another day.

We start by expanding your general list to hit golden, repeat buyers.  It all starts by filling up a special bank account people have... while you're interacting with them.

If You're Not Yet Using Your Own Autoresponder

If you're not using your own autoresponder, it takes time to get into this tool.  You're after unique content that's rich and valuable.  Build your content and then build your list.

If you're opposedv to using an independent autoresponder (not built into the MLMsystem you're currently using), you're missing out on the one thing that will really make a big difference in your life.

It's about building and owning your own list.

This tool builds the list while building the special account.
It's how you also establish future associate connections I call profound business relationships.

People Will Seek You Out

Here's why a lot of network marketers use social networking.  They're building their lists.  But..., when they don't have an autoresponder, they're stuck.  They don't have legal permission to visit with that list on an ongoing basis. In my book, that's a big business risk no one can overlook.

And...let's say that you catch on to what others are doing at Top Gun levels, and you decide to form your own webwork of resources tprospects can access.  You need an autoresponder for that kind of effort.

When applied to the right audiences, this tool gives you numerous chances to help others in ways you couldn't typically imagine now.  It goes beyond "belly-to-belly marketing".  It gives you time to find solutions others haven't been able to solve.  Let's get into the special bank account.

Meet Perry Marshall

You may know about this person.  You may not.  If you market yourself online (in paid realms), this is one resource you'll need.

Perry is the definitive author on Google Adwords..., and to this day, he surpasses much of what's been published on the subject of pay-per-click advertising.  Perry tells you how you can best use the autoresponder to build your golden buyer list.

"Imagine that before you ask a girl out on a date, you go to her father and ask his permission first. (Yes, there are still rare young men who do that.)

How does dad want his daughter to be treated? He may tell you. And he'll respect you greatly because you asked. He may even go to bat for you later if she entertains doubts about you :^)

Imagine treating people on your email list with the same level of dignity and respect that daddy wants
for his 16 year-old girl.

And... think of your opt-in page or "squeeze page" as a place where you request permission to begin to make deposits into someone's emotional bank account.

Successful relationships, even via email, are not speed seduction.... They're a lot more like courtship and marriage.

The best feeling that your customers can have about your emails is, "Hey, every time I open his/her emails, I'm always glad I took the time to read them." If they consistently feel that way, you;ll acquire a loyal following. When you want to or need to move something, you have an eager audience.

What's The Best Way To Use Your Autoresponder?

The highest purpose of every email you send is.... what?  What would YOU guess the answer is?

In my opinion, the purpose of the email you send today is:

To make sure your customer still wants to read the NEXT one you send them after that.  Sure, the motivation could be because you tell a cliffhanger story or something. But that's a mere tactic. There's an even better and larger principle, though:

*Fill their emotional bank account.*

Stephen Covey's book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People explains that there's an emotional
bank account for everyone we have a relationship with. We're either making deposits or withdrawals,
and when there are more withdrawals than deposits, the relationship dies. (DELETE. UNSUBSCRIBE.
STOP SENDING ME THESE !@#$% EMAILS.)

When the balance in that bank account is grows over time, the relationship strengthens and it becomes possible to do 'heavy lifting.' This person becomes someone you can rely on to come through for you
in a pinch, and vise-versa.

You of course would like your prospects and customers to do business with you. I would like you
to consider the gravity of what it is they really expect from you in exchange for their money:

There is some change they want in their life. How are they going to trust you to help them make that
change? How big of a deal is this to them, really? If they get burned in their quest to solve this problem,
what does it cost them? (It's probably more than money. There is likely significant time and opportunity cost as well.)

What if your solution is a blind alley? What alternatives may be permanently closed off to them?

The most amateur marketing mistake is attempting to withdraw before a deposit is made. In total, your
emails should give FAR more than they take", (Marshall, P. , 2009).

If you would like to offer feedback or include unusual insights to increase the intrinsic value of this vault, feel free to leave comments or suggestions. More heads are always better than one!
